Bach to Rock Music School Delivers a New Sound to Nanuet

Bach to Rock Music School Delivers a New Sound to Nanuet

Bach to Rock (B2R), America’s music school for students of all ages, announced today it is opening a new school in the Rockland County hamlet of Nanuet, New York.   The community is invited to the grand opening festivities on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 150 East Route 59, Nanuet, NY 10954. Attendees are welcome to tour the school, enjoy a free music lesson, learn about individual lessons and group classes, try out free toddler “Mommy and Me” classes, take a spin at becoming a DJ, enter into prize drawings and giveaways, check out the recording studio, and meet the teachers.

“At Bach to Rock we offer an innovative approach to music lessons.   We know learning music should be fun, and that students learn best when they play music they love,” said President of Bach to Rock, Brian Gross.  “Students jump right into playing their favorites and our teachers expertly nurture their potential as they progress. Families in Nanuet will be thrilled with our methodology, as well as how our schools become an integral part of the community,” said Gross.

Leading the Nanuet school is a new Bach to Rock franchisee, Eric Philo.  As a former investment banker and corporate analyst, he knows Bach to Rock is a solid business proposition.  However, it is his personal commitment to music education that motivates him to succeed.  Philo, an amateur musician who plays and composes music, wants to help kids break out of their digital habits through music. “Playing music opens so many opportunities for kids to interact.  They talk, laugh, joke – essentially they are connecting in a really creative way…in person,” said Philo. “I hope to forge those connections and let kids see how playing music can enrich their lives.”

Bach to Rock Nanuet will offer a variety of programs for students of all ages including: individual lessons; group classes such as Rock Band; the Beat Refinery DJ school; the Rock City program for preschooler and toddlers; Kids-n-Keys for children in grades K-2 interested in piano; along with summer camps and birthday parties. Studies have shown that learning to play music in a group helps students learn teamwork, develop social skills and build self-esteem, among other benefits.  Recently, Bach to Rock launched MyB2R, an online dashboard offering customers real-time access to student progress and more. MyB2R is the only digital service of its kind in the music school industry, and provides the ability to track student advancement, schedule lessons, obtain homework and stream over 300 pre-recorded songs to practice at home.

Bach to Rock is expanding at a robust and steady pace.  The franchise has repeatedly been named to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 and was listed in the Top Ten Trending Categories for 2016. Franchise Times has ranked it as one of the 500 Powerhouse Brands and on its Next 300 Franchise System list.

Bach to Rock is currently seeking qualified candidates to open franchise locations in major metropolitan markets throughout the country. Bach to Rock is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to build a business that is dedicated to helping children and adults learn to play the music they love. DJcityTV and Beat Refinery are back with a new episode of the tutorial series, Turntable Techniques. This time, DJ As-One demonstrates how to use “transition stingers” in DJ sets.

Transition stingers are exclusive performance tools that start at one tempo and end with a sample. They enable DJs to drop a song of any tempo immediately after the current track. By being able to jump around different BPM ranges, DJs can add creativity to their sets.

Watch As-One break down how to use stingers above and download them only on DJcity.

On this episode of Turntable Techniques, Beat Refinery instructor DJ Obeyah shows how to apply the reggae and dancehall style of mixing to house music.
